Our approach
Making Clothing Differently
It all started with a desire to change things in the clothing world. One day, we saw a documentary about he excesses of fast fashion and the mountains of textiles ending up in certain African countries. This is simply unacceptable!
Of course, it would be difficult to imagine a world where everyone lives naked, even if naturists might dream of it. So, alternatives must be found.
Fortunately, a movement toward awareness and more environmentally friendly actions has been underway for several years. Certifications such as OCS, GOTS, and GRS are proof of this, allowing us to verify the quality of products and the conditions under which they are produced.
Chênemont exists to participate in this revolution. Our brand relies exclusively on certified products. But that's not enough.
Reduce Waste
We use a print-on-demand model, which means we only produce what you order. This minimizes inventory and reduces the risk of waste.
Of course, zero risk doesn't exist, but we're moving toward zero waste. We're consciously working to drastically reduce waste.
Towards a Circular Economy
Our brand is young, and like other companies, we're going to implement a system for collecting and recovering our products for recycling. Recycled textiles can be used to make other clothing, furniture, decorative objects, and even building materials. Every day, new ways to recycle textiles emerge, and we want to be a part of them.
This program will depend on your goodwill and will be rewarded in ways we have yet to determine. This project is ongoing, and we will keep you informed of its progress.
Reduce our Carbon Footprint
The key word here is "reduce." While we dream of a zero carbon footprint, current realities make this difficult. However, we can take conscious steps to reduce it as much as possible. Print-on-demand also reduces the amount of product in transit after ordering.
And All This with Lightness
Too much seriousness kills seriousness. At Chênemont, we believe that even in pursuing these goals, we can, and even should, not take ourselves seriously. We will always try to stay on the side of humor, and lighthearded, knowing that what pleases us or makes us laugh does not necessarily please everyone. It's a shame, because we like it! 😉
We Have Plenty of Ideas
Now it's up to us to make them so that they please and serve you, so that it is a success for everyone.
